I love  medieval art in all its forms, and I particularly love the wonderfu illuminated manuscripts. There are some wonderful, quirky litlle birds in some of these  manuscripts and they are what inspired these pieces. I did them as a series of tiles as there is a wonderful variety of medieval tiles to  inspire.
